(This really isn't so much a wish for a do-over, except in how hard it was to do. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, if I had to, for a very long list of good reasons.) So that it's not 90+ F every single day in July? No air conditioning + old house = bedrooms that are too hot to sleep in, even with fans. Ugh. I'd really like to do over the day when the kids failed to do their chores, and Joan invited some friends over after work unexpectedly, and so some people I don't know saw my house with dirty dishes on the table and dog hair all over the floor, and Little Sunshine's piles of sorted but not washed laundry all over the living room floor and the compost bucket gently steaming away in a patch of sunlight on the kitchen counter. Yes, I had a little hot-flash-fueled breakdown when I discovered all this. High Fives? Joan's successfully transitioned off one set of meds, and is now moving from one fairly dangerous drug to another which is much less so (and also much less expensive!). Tuxedo Boy's trumpet lessons are going well, and he's enjoying practicing--so far so good!
